August 31, 2007 — Just 4 Today

31 08 2007

Just 4 Today I'llJust 4 Today, I’ll drink my fiber twice (done once!), drink 2 liters of water (so far, about 1/2 liter), walk 5 miles (yesterday, no evening walk - 2.06), NOT eat between meals & NOT take seconds.

I’m on my second cup of coffee and I tried my dad’s hot/cold water trick (sort of, I used the cold tap water and not a bucket of ice water.)  And I still have a headache but, I feel almost human.

I’m really looking forward to the weekend.

What are you going to do today?  Can we walk?

Morning KB.

Sorry you’ve got a h/a today. Hope your fathers trick works.

J4T I’ll drink 2 liters of water and do stuff around the house.

OK when you get a chance and feel better, you’ve got to let me know how yesterday went. I was thinking about you yesterday evening and I was hoping you got everything done.

Hi FamilyMan, it’s good to see you. I did get everything done! I’ll talk about it more after work, though. I’ve got to get going.

I’ve got about 10 web pages to clean up and post by this afternoon….

Ditto the headache getting better. Try a little kudzu maybe?

J4T I’m going to work to keep this good thing going for at least a week. I’ll drink my water, get some exercise, and finish up this dang documentation!

Hi, all, and a happier head to you, kb.

Here we go into the weekend already. Doesn’t seem possible. So damned hot the past few days, sweaty before you even do anything.

And they are talking about a power emergency today. No idea what that might mean for me personally. I work in a 20 story glass box that would have to be evacuated if we lost power. Probably won’t happen, though. We have an emergency generator for the elevators, but I don’t know that it can carry to a/c.

Fun, fun, fun !

Hi FAR, I read your news — WOW! that’s great. I’m thrilled.

Kansas, thanks for the good wishes.

catdog, did your building stay air conditioned?

My headache turned into a head cold. And I just yelled at my mother. I’m not exactly proud of myself (dragging my blankets back to bed).

Bummer about yelling at your mom… I hope she understands you’re under the weather. Chug some nyquil and sleep about 14 hours, that should do ya.

Looks like I’ll be chicken housing this weekend. :-P Keep sweating off the pounds, maybe.

Yes, the building a/c stayed on, and I didn’t leave until 4:30pm. It’s hotter than hell, still. In the 80’s, down from 100– wow. It just doesn’t feel good outside at all. Up until now this week, you could open the doors and windows at night and air things out. Not tonight.

I’m sitting in the house sweating, even though the a/c is on and doing pretty well. I don’t know that I ought to even try the treadmill. There’s an “excessive heat alert” for tomorrow. Maybe I can do some swimming.

Hey Catdog, I can relate… that’s where we were on Planet Georgia last week. Some much-needed rain (and the clouds that come with it) has cooled things down some this week though. Swimming sounds like a good idea… better than what I’ll be doing shortly (chicken houses).
