Inspired by CabinGirl, I’ve been thinking: Have you ever noticed how fast time flies? It seems to me that every time I turn around it’s Wednesday and I’m stretching out to watch Lost. I think one indication of the truth of this is that we’ve only got 81 days to New Year’s Eve — doesn’t it seem like just a day or two ago that we had 100 days left?
I haven’t been as faithful at hitting my 3 miles per day goal since my last New Year’s Update. But I’m making a special promise to myself and you:
From now till New Year’s Eve, Wednesday will be Flying Time Report Day. And I’ll let you know the status of my goal to lose 10 pounds by New Years Eve.
Today’s Status:
I haven’t lost anything. But I haven’t gained anything either.
(It’ll be next Wednesday before you know it and I’ll have good news for that report I promise)
What’s your New Year’s Resolution? Are you ready to talk about it?

I have to confess, I was shocked to see that there were only 81 days left today!
Maybe I’ll buy a scale this week so we can compare notes on Wednesdays…it’ll definitely remind me not to wander over to the fridge so frequently.
CabinGirl, A good scale is a good investment. They say weighing yourself everyday is one of the things people do when they successfully keep the weight off.
Which is one of the reasons I remind myself to do it everyday.
Well, I got my scale…and now I know what I weigh. Ugh.
Oh, sweetie! I know — but will only get better from now on…. We’re in this together. With our daily goals and Weekly Flying-Time Reporting Day.
Oh my how time does fly! I can’t believe we are in the second week of Oct. I hope all is well with you. I have been rather busy and dealing with some health issues.
Kirsten, I was just thinking about your blog as I drove in this morning. I’ve been caught up in a not-commenting mode and haven’t been around as much lately.
I’m sorry to hear about your health issues. I hope they are getting better and are at least manageable.
I’ll try to stop by your place this evening.
I understand the non-commenting mode… there are times when it is hard to keep up. Things are getting better slowly but surely. Take care and enjoy your Sunday!
Thanks Kirsten. You too.
