Just today, I’m not going to eat between meals and I’m not going to take seconds. And I’ll weigh myself & use the tools and guidance from The Hacker’s Diet to help me reach (and keep) my goal.
I’ve got a jolt of energy from the Eat4Today Live! meeting last night. It’s not that there were so many people there (3 plus Terri and me) it was the enthusiasm of the group. Terri and I had discussed an agenda but we never got to it. The conversation never lagged enough to bring things around.
One of the things that came from the meeting was a hint for improving cholesterol levels quickly and dramatically. A woman in the group shared that her LDL cholesterol went from just over 300 to the 120s in 3 months. She says that the improvement came from drinking a cup of unsweetened apple juice with 2 teaspoons of Heinz Apple Cider Vinegar with every meal. A quick Internet search says this is a common folk-remedy (there are hundreds of pages that discuss it) but I haven’t found anything in the Clinical Trials Database. If you know more about this I’d love to hear it.
We also discussed the benefits of regular walking and another woman and I promised to call each other next week to arrange a walking time. And someone else said that one of the area offices was starting a regular walking club for morning and afternoon break-times.
Finally, as we were leaving we decided to meet every week from now on! Each of the ladies wants to come back AND they wanted to come back next week. At least that’s what they said last night.
As I said, it was just a little group. But it felt like the start of something real.
