Just today, I’m not going to eat between meals and I’m not going to take seconds. And I’ll weigh myself & use the tools and guidance from The Hacker’s Diet to help me reach (and keep) my goal.
Aurelia Williams - Wife, Mother, Friend, Coach is this week’s BlogJolt. She’s a life coach, a specialist in self esteem issues. And for us she’s a perfect fit. Some of the post’s currently on her first page are Feel Empowered and Happy About Yourself, Are you battling with Stress & Low Self Esteem?, 5 Easy Steps To Build Self Esteem, Dinner in 30 minutes or Less!!. The one I’ve been thinking about today just seems to fit my morning affirmation routine:
5 Easy Steps to Build Self Esteem (topics only — follow the link for her complete explanation of each point.)
1 - Start each morning and end each day with a positive statement or thought.
2 - Get to know the TRUE you and accept yourself.
3 - Make a list of all your positive characteristics and achievements.
4 - Choose your words/thoughts carefully; Take time to replace negative thoughts with positive ones.
5 - Take what you are good at and enhance it.
I’ll take this list with me through my day. The idea of a life coach is interesting (are there real-life life coaches? How does that work?). I wonder if her voice will whisper in my ear in a couple of hours reminding me of how far I’ve come just when I’m ready to give up and by a pastry? Maybe a new voice is just what I need after all this time?
Just 4 Today, I’ll listen to Aurelia’s voice. And I’ve added her to the blog roll so we can all find her again later.

I can *HEAR* your determination in your post!! I will be whispering to you all day and then patting you on the back for a job well done… just watch!!
Great stuff here!!
Aurelia
Aurelia — Thank you so much! I’m listening with all my might.
I am liking Arelias sight as well. Recently I met a lady, Katrina Little, who battled weight and self esteem most of her life. She has lost over 150 pounds and is writing her book “Freedom From Dieting”. I know her personally and she has helped encourage me to stop the “dieting cycle”. Her story was published in Guidepost’s August edition.Check out her site. http://www.KatrinaLittle.com
Angel, as I started to read your comment I thought — I just heard about a woman who lost 150 pounds, what a coincidence! But when you said her name and Guidepost Magazine, I realized that we were thinking of the same person. My post Finding inspiration and strength for self control is about her story and the article you mentioned. A friend at work passed it along to me because her story was so similar to mine.
Thank you very much for stopping by — I visited your site earlier and will be back later to make a comment.
